Hot on the heels of her earlier 2025 release EUSEXUA, FKA Twigs drops this absolute banger of an album, which is a fully realised album in and of itself rather than simply a remix or companion album, in the form of EUSEXUA Afterglow. Originally conceived as a sequel album to EUSEXUA, her fourth full length album EUSEXUA Afterglow instead evolved into a massive album with its own intensity, its own stories, its own sounds and its own experiments into new sounds and emotions.
Intricate glitched up trap beats, super deep swirling basslines, staccato lyricism interspersed with Twigs’ soft whisper-like vocals, EUSEXUA Afterglow. Her masterful pop songwriting is at its supreme best on tracks like Love Crimes, HARD, and Sushi, all the while Twigs seemingly becoming more and more like a cybernetic being, with varying vocal effects and spatial production giving the entire album a sci-fi edge, carrying on from it’s predecessor with absolute control.
A definite must-listen for any FKA Twigs fan.

“Steep Stims” - Clark

Clark returns with his 16th full length album Steep Stims, a strong return to his earlier styles like Body Riddle, Turning Dragon and Totems Flare. Full of fractured and urgent drum beats, detuned pianos and deep house pads, this is a refreshing show of the strengths in Clark’s music that originally brought him to my attention all the way back in 2006.
This album displays both quirky offbeat sounds and melodies while being hold together almost unwillingly by very structured beats, delivering both danceable tracks and interesting ear-tingling sensations. The use of older equipment is apparent in this release, having a somewhat retro feel so many of the tracks.
For fans of µ-Ziq, Aphex Twin, Autechre, The Chemical Brothers, Ital Tek and Squarepusher.
